Girls Basketball Fundamental CampDate: June 10-13, 2024
Time: 1:30pm-3:00pm Grades: 6-9 Price: $90 The Pius XI Basketball Fundamental Camp is open to beginning or experienced players entering 6th-9th grades who love basketball, want to work hard and learn to play their best. The object is to learn the fundamentals of the game and improve overall skill. This camp is held in the Pius XI Fieldhouse. We will accept kids younger than 6th grade if they are capable of handling playing with older kids. Girls Basketball All-Star CampDate: June 17-19, 2024
Time: 1:30pm-3:00pm Grades: 6-9 Price: $70 The All-Star Camp is an intense camp geared toward the serious player. Players will sharpen skills learned from the girls fundamental basketball camp. This camp will give girls the experience needed to compete in high school basketball. This camp is held in the Pius XI Fieldhouse. We will accept kids younger than 6th grade if they are capable of handling playing with older kids. Boys Basketball CampsFundamental Skills Camp Shooting Camp Date: June 10-13, 2024 Date: June 17-20, 2024 Session 1 Time: 8:00am-10:00am Session 1 Time: 8:00-10:00am Session 1 Grades: 3-5 Grades 3-5 Session 2 Time: 10am-12 pm Session 2 Time: 10am-12pm Session 2 Grades: 6-8 Grades 6-8 Price: $100 Price: $100 Mighty Mites Camp (Open to boys and girls) July 22-25, 2024 Session 8:30-10am Grades Kindergarten-2nd grade Price $75 Limited to 40 participants Come and learn from Pius XI Varsity Head Coach Dan Carey and his coaching staff, as well as current and former Popes players! These camps focus on the basics of the game. Campers can expect to practice shooting, passing and catching, ball handling, rebounding and defense. The basic concepts of game play and strategy will also be covered. We welcome kids of all ability and experience levels who simply love to play the game and want to get better in a fun environment! Camps are held in the Pius XI Fieldhouse. Run CampDate: June 18-July 11, 2024 Tues. & Thurs.
Time: 6:00pm-7:30pm Grades: 4-9 Price: $40 This camp is for boys and girls entering grades 4-9 who want to become successful runners. Beginners welcome! Have fun and make new friends as you learn proper stretching and running mechanics, good breathing, pace techniques for a longer run, and stamina. Campers will enjoy running games, challenges, and a fun race the last week. Mary Riegert will oversee the camp and will be assisted with Jerad Ratkowski, Krissy Johnson, and John Fischer - all Pius XI alumni! Sessions are held at Greenfield Park (enter from Lincoln Ave) & the Pius XI Field House. You will be notified of any location changes. Strength & ConditioningDate: June 10-13, 17-20. July 1-3 2024| Monday - Thursday | NO CAMP JULY 4TH
This camp runs Monday - Thursday for the 3 week period. This program will focus on the introduction of lifting and conditioning. Students will learn proper lifting and running form, along with weight room safety and etiquette. Each day will be split into 2 sessions, lifting and conditioning. A weight lifting program will be provided and conditioning will vary each day. Students must have tennis shoes and gym clothes to lift. No open toed shoes, boots, or sandals will be allowed. The high school session are for incoming Pius XI students ONLY. The middle school session is open to all incoming 6th-8th graders.
Jr. Popes Football CampMonday - Thursday July 15- July 18, 2024
Cost: $100 Grades 4-9 Time: 3:30-5:30 Pius XI youth football camp helps young athletes learn the skills and abilities to learn and understand the game of football. All participants will under-go practice planning, film time, football drills, offensive and defensive concepts used at the high school and collegiate levels with a 7 on 7 tournament conducted on the final day of camp. All instruction is performed by Pius XI football coaches who have experience as former collegiate athletes or have coached at the high school or collegiate level. The Pius XI Girls Power Volleyball Camp is open to girls entering 6th-9th grade who love volleyball. The objective is for girls to learn the fundamental skills needed to play high school volleyball. Camp enrollment is limited and early registration is recommended to ensure your daughter a spot. The Pius XI Girls Power Volleyball Camp will be coached by Dave Scher who just completed his 36th year as head coach at Pius XI where he has coached eight state championship teams and 16 conference championship teams. His career record is 1,109-414. The Pius XI Girls Volleyball Team has been state champions 13 times and conference champions 22 times. The team has been ranked #1 in Wisconsin 17 times. Additionally, the Pius XI Girls Volleyball Team has ranked in the top 15 teams nationally 11 times.
