A Step-by-Step Guide to Applying for
Financial Aid, Scholarships and Choice

Pius XI is committed providing a high quality Catholic Education to those who seek it. Our individualized approach to financial aid ensures that if Pius XI is the best fit for your child, we will work with you to make it possible. Financial aid and scholarship funding is based on many factors, including a student's academic achievements, service to community, as well as household size and income.

Financial Aid Application Process (FACTS) (For the 2024-2025 School Year)

Each family requesting financial assistance must submit one (1) online FACTS application per family, along with current income documentation and additional supporting documentation.

All families who are seeking financial aid, must apply each year using the FACTS application process. (Note: this is not the Parental Choice application process.)

Scholarship Opportunities

Pius XI Scholarship Application Process

Students who are applying for financial aid should also submit this simple Scholarship Application form along with a short essay and two letters of recommendation in order to be considered for named scholarship support. Many named scholarships are 4-year awards, provided the student continues to meet academic and disciplinary standards.

2024-2025 Pius XI Scholarship Application

Father Carney Alumni Discount

Incoming freshmen (Class of 2028) whose parent or legal guardian is an alum of Pius XI Catholic High School are eligible to apply for the Father Carney Alumni Discount. Applicants must meet academic and character criteria to receive this discount each year.

Milwaukee Archdiocese Employee Discount

Students whose parent or legal guardian is a full or part-time employee of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee are eligible to apply for a tuition reduction.

Milwaukee and Wisconsin Parental Choice Programs

Pius XI Catholic High School participates in both the Milwaukee and Wisconsin Parental Choice Programs.

Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP) Application Period for 2024-2025 School Year: February 1 - 20, 2024
Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) Application Period for the 2023-2024 School Year: February 1 - April 18, 2024

Students meeting DPI residency and income guidelines may apply for Milwaukee or Wisconsin Parental Choice Program by submitting an online application through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website. A completed application must be submitted by the deadline. All supporting documents must be provided to Pius XI Catholic High School by the deadline to complete the process. Parental Choice Enrollment Process

Step 1: Complete Online Parental Choice Application

Step 2: Required Supporting Documents

Proof of Residency documentation is required to complete verification of all online parental choice applications. Residency documents must be submitted during the enrollment period to Pius XI. Document submission options are outlined below. Parent name and address on the residency document must match your student’s choice on-line application.
Proof of Income documentation is required if your student is “new” to the choice program. If you selected the “DPI Method” option to verify income eligibility you will need to provide a copy of the income support along with your residency documentation to complete the choice application process. Document submission options are outlined below.

Milwaukee Parental Choice Program

February 2024 Enrollment Period

February 1 through February 20, 2024 – MPCP Families have the option to email PDF documents to: [email protected] OR drop documents in Lock Box located outside of the school entrance, or send documents to school with their current Pius XI student. Pius XI will send confirmation email to families submitting documents by February 16 that their application has been verified or additional documents are required.

Wisconsin Parental Choice Program

Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP)
1. February 1 through April 18, 2024 – WPCP Families have the option to Email PDF document to [email protected], drop documents in Lock Box located at the school entrance, or send documents to school with their current Pius XI student.

IMPORTANT: The online application, residency documentation, and income documentation all must be submitted within the enrollment period. (Enrollment period for Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MCPC) is February 1 - 21, 2024 for and February 1 - April 18, 2024 for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP).)

Late applications or late supporting documentation cannot be accepted per Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) guidelines. Pius XI requires each family whose student receives a choice seat to provide a birth certificate to verify student name and each family must complete an Income Tuition Determination Form to conclude if the family will have any tuition responsibility.

Tuition & Fees

The total annual investment for a student attending Pius XI Catholic High School for the 2024-2025 school year will be set in spring.

Families that had a FACTS Tuition billing account for 2023-24 school year will have that account rolled over for the 2024-25 school year (communication will be coming via FACTS regarding your account)
